Drinks

Jersey has a wealth of local produce from the world famous Jersey Royal Potatoes to the rich butter and milk from the pedigree Jersey cows, but beyond these there are apples for cider, incredible seafood, fruit, vegetables as well as cakes, bakes, sweets and chocolates, and a growing number of alcoholic drinks. From the smallest producers to the largest on the island they are increasingly looking at organic production, sustainability, and regenerative techniques. I have divided my list into four groups and you can use the buttons at the top and bottom of each page to navigate between each.

Hedge Veg

Jersey ( and Guernsey ) are lucky to have a long tradition of islanders selling spare eggs or homegrown vegetables. Produce from the garden or allotment, usually sold from a couple of shelves at the end of the drive or their gate. Helping support the local economy this is a great way to purchase seasonal produce. Customers leave an honesty payment in a small cash box or even an old jam jar . The tradition has evolved over time as people added jars of honey, homemade preserves, cakes and crafts. The full list of suppliers on the island is helpfully available here.
