Festive Christmas Tree Chocolate Cupcakes

December 4, 2022 by Christian Gott - An Island Chef 1 Comment

So today was a Sunday off and the girls wanted to bake Christmas cupcakes. If you follow the blog you know I have a great, go to chocolate cupcake recipe ( see my Scary Halloween Double Chocolate Cupcakes ). So, it was just a matter of finding some fun way to decorate them. Flicking through magazines and online in the run to the festive season is a great way to find inspiration and I had already seen an idea for Christmas Tree light cakes I wanted to put a spin on.

Ghastly Ghosties and Scary Halloween Double Chocolate Cupcakes

October 27, 2020 by Christian Gott 4 Comments

Ghastly Ghosties and Scary Halloween Double Chocolate Cupcakes. Do you celebrate Halloween? Yes! Well, when I was little, we celebrated Bonfire night. Now it is big business with costumes, pumpkin lanterns, and trick or treating for sweets and chocolates. And I have to say I love it.

Liberation Day Celebration Condensed Milk Cake

May 9, 2020 by Christian Gott - An Island Chef Leave a Comment

Condensed milk was a popular ingredient used as a substitute for sugar and milk and even (?) drank in tea. I have cheated slightly in this recipe and used fresh eggs and butter. The original would have been made with powdered egg and margarine.
