Scallop and Asparagus Stir-fry (蘆筍炒帶子)

February 16, 2025 by Christian Gott Leave a Comment

The dish combines the classic Cantonese combination of savoury, sweetness, and the salty, umami flavours and is perfect to grace any dinner table not just a Chinese banquet.

My Chinese Chicken Noodle Soup (鸡汤面)

February 9, 2025 by Christian Gott Leave a Comment

The first stage of making my soup is the nutritious stock packed with flavour. The other principal ingredients are plain wheat noodles, chicken, vegetables, and a few store cupboard staples. I like to use chicken thighs as they are more flavourful than breast meat and I precook them by roasting. I love the umani taste of mushrooms, so I like to use them and Pak choi as my vegetables.

Salt and Pepper Pork Chops (椒盐猪排)

February 1, 2025 by Christian Gott Leave a Comment

A real favourite of mine as it is incredibly tasty, and the pork is tender and not dry. What’s more, it is quick to cook so perfect for a midweek supper. Finally, you don’t need lots of expensive ingredients, most of them will already be in your store cupboard or pantry.
