Fakes Soupa – Greek Lentil Soup

February 12, 2024 by Christian Gott Leave a Comment

Fakes Soupa – Greek Lentil Soup. This week after a great meeting on Regenerative Farming I was given a packet of their Olive Green lentils. This made me think of a wonderful hearty recipe, that is vegan friendly and a great addition for my Meal Mates recipes.

What to do with your Christmas Leftovers?

December 27, 2023 by Christian Gott - An Island Chef 2 Comments

Boxing Day Bubble and Squeak Soup

What to do with your Christmas Leftovers? I guess the first question is what did you cook for your Christmas Lunch? Turkey? Ham? Popping up on lots of foodie social media are lots of turkey curries right now and plenty of festive pasta bakes but what can we do with our Christmas leftovers that doesn’t involve curry or pasta.

Jersey Royals, Asparagus, Pesto, and Goat’s Cheese salad with poached Egg

June 4, 2023 by Christian Gott - An Island Chef Leave a Comment

This dish is made with lots of seasonal produce including Jersey Royals and local asparagus. The secret however is the homemade pesto which is well making the effort to make. You can keep it in the fridge for up to a week. You can use it to make delicious pasta with pappardella ribbons. Mix with a little cream for a tasty sauce to serve with salmon or chicken. If you use vegetarian Parmesan today’s recipe will be suitable for vegetarians.
